The Principal as a Catalyst for Change: Innovative Strategies to Improve the Quality of Senior High School Education
Keywords:

This study examines the role of school principals in enhancing the quality of vocational education and the challenges faced in aligning education with industry demands. Effective school leadership plays a crucial role in shaping institutional performance, ensuring that vocational schools provide industry-relevant training and produce competent graduates. The research highlights key challenges, including limited industry collaboration, outdated curricula, insufficient funding, and inadequate professional development for educators. Findings suggest that implementing the Link and Match paradigm—strengthening collaboration between schools and industries through internships, apprenticeships, and curriculum development—significantly improves graduate employability. Additionally, strategic leadership, competency-based education, and digital transformation are essential for vocational school sustainability. This study emphasizes the need for government support, industry engagement, and institutional reforms to address these challenges. By fostering innovation and improving education management, vocational institutions can better equip students with the necessary skills to compete in the global labor market.
