Publication Ethics

JIISR is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal follows internationally recognized principles of responsible scholarly publishing and adopts the relevant principles promoted by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). COPE identifies areas including authorship, conflicts of interest, misconduct, peer review, intellectual property, ethical oversight, complaints and appeals, and post-publication corrections as important components of responsible journal management. Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original works and have not been simultaneously submitted or previously published elsewhere, except where explicitly permitted.

Authors must:

  • Provide accurate and reliable research information;
  • Properly acknowledge all sources;
  • Avoid plagiarism, fabrication, and falsification of data;
  • Ensure that all listed authors have made substantial contributions;
  • Obtain appropriate ethical approval or consent where required;
  • Oisclose relevant conflicts of interest;
  • Acknowledge funding sources where applicable; and
  • Promptly inform the editor if a significant error is discovered after publication.

Editors

Editors are responsible for evaluating manuscripts objectively and maintaining editorial independence. Editors must:

  • Maintain confidentiality during the editorial process;
  • Make decisions based on academic quality and relevance;
  • Avoid discrimination based on authors' identity or institutional affiliation;
  • Manage conflicts of interest;
  • Protect the integrity of the peer-review process; and
  • Respond appropriately to allegations of research or publication misconduct.

Reviewers

Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, confidentially, and constructively. Reviewers should:

  • Provide evidence-based comments;
  • Identify relevant published work that has not been properly cited;
  • Disclose conflicts of interest;
  • Maintain confidentiality; and
  • Avoid using unpublished information for personal advantage.

Allegations of Misconduct

JIISR takes allegations of plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, authorship disputes, and other forms of publication misconduct seriously. The journal may investigate allegations and take appropriate action, including requesting clarification, correction, retraction, or other editorial measures when warranted.
