Focus and Scope
JIISR: Journal of Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies Review is an international scholarly journal that publishes peer-reviewed research on contemporary Islamic studies and its intersections with social sciences, humanities, education, culture, society, and other relevant disciplines. The journal encourages theoretical, empirical, qualitative, quantitative, comparative, and interdisciplinary studies that contribute to a deeper understanding of Islam and Muslim societies.

JIISR particularly welcomes manuscripts that connect Islamic studies with contemporary social realities and employ interdisciplinary perspectives to examine emerging issues affecting Muslim communities. The journal does not limit itself to a single methodological tradition. Articles may employ qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods, textual, historical, comparative, ethnographic, sociological, or other academically appropriate approaches.
