Abstract

This study aims to explore in depth the strategies for improving teachers' professional competence at MI NW Lendang Batu using a qualitative phenomenological approach. The focus of the study is directed at understanding the authentic experiences, obstacles, and actual strategies implemented by MI teachers in developing their professionalism. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with six teachers, participatory observation in self-development activities, and documentation studies of individual training and reflection programs. The results of the study indicate that strategies for improving teachers' professional competence are carried out through various efforts, such as active participation in training, the formation of learning communities, peer teaching, and innovations in technology-based teaching methods. The main obstacles include time constraints, administrative burdens, limited access to information, and minimal institutional support. However, the existence of a culture of reflection and collaboration between teachers is the key to strengthening professional competence. This study recommends optimizing institutional support, developing ongoing training, and an appreciation system to increase teacher motivation. These findings are expected to be a reference in designing policies for developing madrasah teacher professionalism based on real needs in the field.
