Pelatihan Pengajaran Bahasa Inggris untuk Guru SD/MI di Janapria

Abstract

This community service program aimed to improve the competence and motivation of elementary school teachers in Janapria in teaching English through effective and creative instructional methods. The training was conducted over three days and focused on interactive teaching techniques, the development and utilization of locally sourced teaching media, and classroom management strategies suitable for young learners. Post-training assistance was provided through regular school visits and online consultations to support the implementation of the acquired skills. The program positively impacted teachers’ confidence and teaching skills, leading to increased student engagement and interest in English learning. Coordination and collaboration among schools, local government, and education offices were essential to the success and sustainability of the program. This initiative contributed to enhancing the quality of English education in primary schools in Janapria and provided a model for similar community empowerment programs.
