About the Journal

Aims & Scope

BEGAWE – Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (PKM) aims to serve as a leading platform for the dissemination of community service activities that are rooted in research, innovation, and the application of science, technology, and the arts. The journal is committed to bridging the gap between academic knowledge and community needs by publishing high-quality, evidence-based works that contribute to sustainable social development.

The journal encourages interdisciplinary approaches and the integration of local wisdom in addressing community challenges, with the goal of producing practical, impactful, and culturally sensitive solutions.

BEGAWE welcomes original manuscripts reporting the results of community service programs, including but not limited to the following thematic areas:

  1. Education – literacy programs, non-formal education, curriculum development, and educational empowerment
  2. Health – public health promotion, community-based healthcare, nutrition, and sanitation
  3. Economy – community economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, and small-medium enterprise development
  4. Technology – appropriate technology application, digital literacy, and technological innovation for communities
  5. Environment – environmental conservation, waste management, and sustainable development
  6. Socio-Culture – social empowerment, cultural preservation, and community resilience
  7. Agriculture – agricultural innovation, food security, and rural development

The journal is open to contributions from academics, researchers, practitioners, and students from universities, research institutions, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations. Submissions that highlight interdisciplinary collaboration and the involvement of local communities in the service process are particularly encouraged.

BEGAWE is published twice a year, in June and December.
